Easy, Healthy Baby & Toddler Meals, Snacks and Activities

26 June - A Strange One...

Hi there. It's Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com, with some strange easy & healthy food and activities for your kids...

This week, I sneaked in avocado in Fred's muffins, and experimented with a tofu dinner. Here's how that turned out...

The family: Fred is a headstrong 2 year, 7 month old toddler boy, and Sarah is my sweet 6 month old baby girl.

Fred's favorite food of the week - Fred loves chocolate, but only gets it when I bake something. He devoured these Chocolate Avo Brownie Muffins.

They are a bit soft when they come out of the oven but just let them cool in the pan and they will firm up.

Sarah's favorite food of the week - Fred and Sarah both enjoyed this Tofu Stir Fry.

It was the first time we had tofu and all of us enjoyed it. The veggies I used were soft and stick styled - so a perfect baby-led weaning dinner for Sarah.

Fred's morning tea box of the week - This week's morning tea box is a low effort snack box.

The only thing I baked was these Sweet Potato Cookies (I made a log of the dough, and sliced it into coins instead of using a cookie cutter).

Other things I added were a little pot with cashew nuts, popped popcorn and a mandarin.

Fred's activity of the week - A new favorite activity of Fred is playing with his Rice Bin.

He has a small wooden box that we use to play with the rice. Then I add his puzzle animals and scooping toys for tons of imaginary fun. I got the idea of playing with rice here.

Sarah's activity of the week - Sarah just loves playing with her brother, observing whatever he's doing. But when she has an alone moment she likes to reach for and roll to her toys.

Joke of the week - Fred loves this joke because it reminds him of his favorite snack and he likes repeating knock-knock jokes after me.
