BLW Falafel bites

My toddler son helped me make these blw falafel bites the other night. It was his first time in the kitchen with me. It made him be more eager to eat them. And he doesn't like whole chickpeas. He called these pancakes and ate it with gusto.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups cooked chickpeas (1 can)
  • 1 onion peeled and quartered
  • 1 large clove garlic, coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup flour

Instructions

Step 1

Combine everything except the oil, in a food processor until well blended.

Step 2

If you have time, place mixture in fridge for 30 minutes. I skipped this step and it turned out fine.

Step 3

Heat oil in a fry pan. Drop tablespoons full batter on the hot pan. Once browned on the one side, flatten and flip over. Cook until browned.

Step 4

Repeat until all the batter is cooked.

Step 5

Serve as you like. You can also make the yogurt dip of the original article if you want. I didn't.
