26 February - Yummy Bananas...

Hi there. It's Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com, and in this week's newsletter you'll find yummy banana recipes for the whole family, plus natural ways to develop and play with your kids. Also a special article for you about how to stock your freezer without too much effort.

The family: Fred is a headstrong 3 year old toddler boy, and Sarah is my sweet 1 year old baby girl.

Fred's food of the week

I love this recipe for banana blueberry waffles because it is simple, and only has a few basic ingredients. I got quinoa flour for my birthday so I will use it instead of the buckwheat flour.

Fred enjoys watching when I make waffles in my waffle pan. It's also a good idea to make a double batch and freeze the leftovers.

Fred's activity of the week

Two important activities for kids are music and movement. This list of 10 activity songs will help you get more music and movement into your children's lives.

Both my kids are really into music and dancing, so we will be doing more of these activity songs.

Sarah's food of the week

Sarah loves banana and milk, so this Banana Chia Pudding recipe is perfect for her, and it only contains 3 ingredients with no added sugar.

Sarah's activity of the week

You may have heard about Montessori. It's a system of education for young children that seeks to develop natural interests and activities rather than use formal teaching methods. It's very child led and it follows the child's interests.

Here's a big list with fun Montessori activities to do with your 12 to 18 month old.

Article of the week

This is a great guide about how to stock your freezer without too much effort. It involves making one item each week to add to your freezer. This way you can stock your freezer with yummy snacks one week at a time.
