Easy, Healthy Baby & Toddler Meals, Snacks and Activities

20 February - Teething Troubles...

Hi there. It's Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com, and in this week's newsletter we have homemade teething biscuits, 45 yummy toddler meals, fun things to do with your toddlers, and a special healthy treat recipe for the whole family.

The family: Fred is a headstrong 3 year old toddler boy, and Sarah is my sweet 1 year old baby girl.

Sarah's food of the week

Sarah is finally getting more teeth but it's making her very grumpy. I like this simple homemade teething biscuit because it contains only a few simple ingredients that are easy to come by, and you can very easily whip it up. The biscuits are great at easing teething pain since they are nice and chewy.

Fred's food of the week

I'm busy doing meal planning for the next 2 weeks and this list of 45 toddler friendly meals has come in really handy to choose the perfect meals for my kids.

I also like that most of them contains lots of veggies, some hidden to make it easier to eat. Some of our favorites include the easy-cheesy spinach pasta, and mini corn dogs. They are also great for kindergarten lunches.

Sarah's activity of the week

This is such a great list of easy things you should do with your 1 year old everyday (it's also useful for older kids as well). Some of the things I already do with Sarah, but I plan to do more of the things on this list. Such as taking her for a walk when Fred's in kindergarten and getting puzzles and music instruments for her from the toy library.

Fred's activity of the week

Last night Fred discovered my yoga booklet and he was very interested in the exercises in the book. He asked me to show him how to do them, and then we did a few poses together.

So I thought he'd like this dinosaur themed mommy-and-me workout. We are going to try to do this every day after kindergarten.

Treat recipe of the week

These carrot cake cream cheese muffins look divine, and are a great healthy treat for your family. They will also make a great after school treat for the kids.
