9 July - Shaving Foam Slime...

Hi there. It's Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com, and this week your kids can learn their ABCs, counting, have sensory experience, and play with slime.

The family: Fred is a headstrong 3.5 year old toddler boy, and Sarah is my sweet 1.5 year old baby girl.

Sensory activity - Shaving foam slime

This is a good non toxic slime recipe using shaving cream.

My kids love playing with this slime, and it is pretty easy to make.

Quiet time activity - ABC busy bag with straws

I like this ABC Busy Bag quiet time activity for two reasons: One, you get to make a DIY toy for your kids that's actually educational and two, kids of different ages can play with it in their own way.

You can buy felt letters at a dollar store, or you can stick small laminated letters on the straws.

Indoor activity - Sock toss

My favorite activity from this list of 20 energetic toddler activities is the sock toss.

Just roll up some socks in a ball, and supply a laundry basket for your kids to throw it in.

You can also use some tape as starting points for different ages.

Educational activity - Finger print counting

I like activities where you don't need to buy lots of supplies to do the activity with your kids, like this fingerprint activity.

You just need paint, the printout and your kids fingers.

Just dip the fingers in paint and let them match the numbers to the amount of fingers needed.

Younger children can use your assistance but still benefit from this activity.

Art activity - Smush painting

Smush painting is great for kids (or parents) who don't like messy painting.

You place a few dots of painting on a piece of paper and then place it in a plastic bag. Seal it and then let your kids smush away.
