11 September - Crouching Toddler, Hidden Veggies...

Hi there. It's Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com, and this week is all about hidden veggies, and new activities.

The family: Fred is a headstrong 2 year, 11 month old toddler boy, and Sarah is my sweet 9 month old baby girl.

This week I sneaked veggies into Fred and Sarah's food and snacks, Fred learned his name and Sarah tried a new 9 month old baby activity.

Fred's favorite food of the week

This week Fred and I made ABC Baby Led Weaning Muffins, containing Apple, Banana and Carrot puree (ABC). The original recipe contains standard flour, but my adaption contains coconut flour instead.

Sarah's favorite food of the week

Sarah loves this recipe for Baby Led Weaning Bolognese. It is a hidden veggies recipe that helps her to get veggies in - 3 of them. She started enjoying this recipe at 6 months old.

Fred's activity of the week

This week Fred learned his name with the help of his hot wheels cars. He was really excited at the start of this activity, searching for his cars and putting the right letters in the correct garages.

Next I'll teach him words with the same concept.

Sarah's activity of the week

I tried this Hidden Object Grab game with my kids this week. Fred helped me make the washing basket maze, and Sarah made it easier to grab objects through the maze by turning the basket on its side.

I'll definitely try this basket activity again as she gets older.

Fred also enjoyed it, crawling through the ribbons like a spy through lasers.
