Easy, Healthy Baby & Toddler Meals, Snacks and Activities

31 July - Enjoying New Things...

Hi there. It's Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com, and this week is all about enjoying new things...

The family: Fred is a headstrong 2 year, 9 month old toddler boy, and Sarah is my sweet 8 month old baby girl.

This week Fred and Sarah enjoyed new things: Fred found a new favorite activity, and Sarah a new favorite food. Fred also helped me bake a special treat for our neighbors.

Fred's favorite food of the week - Fred loves it when I bake with chocolate. This week I made these Fudgy Keto Chocolate Brownie Muffins for our neighbors (and for us).

I used chocolate chips instead of dark chocolate, which makes them more of a treat than a healthy snack, but if you use dark chocolate or sugar free chocolate it will be healthier and more suited for an everyday snack or treat.

They are fudgy and delicious, definitely recommended!

Sarah's favorite food of the week - This week Sarah tried soup for the first time. She loved the soup but can't feed herself as yet.

Soup is a good way to get veggies in your kids and it is budget friendly.

Here's my soup recipe: Baby Sarah's Favorite Soup: it is a easy and quick healthy food that the kids loved. It came out very yummy.

Fred's activity of the week - I came across this article with Indoor Toddler Activities and we tried the Indoor Scavenger Hunt, because you don't need much equipment to do it.

All you need is a bucket and a willing toddler or two.

I gave Fred a bucket and told him to pack all the red things he could find in his bucket. He really enjoyed searching for the objects. And he picked up some of his red toys - a little tidying up!

Sarah's activity of the week - This week, Sarah enjoyed playing with sand. She ate sand, played with a little truck, felt sand in her hands for the first time and just enjoyed playing in the sandpit.

If you live near a beach or can get a small sandpit it is beneficial to their development and play.

Or you can Make Moonsand For Sand-like Play At Home. Just watch your kids so they don't make a mess at home!

Joke of the week - This joke is so cute to me.

Why did the student eat his homework?

Answer: Because the teacher told him it was a piece of cake!

Hahahaha
