23 October - Cheesecake In A Jar

Hi there. It's Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com, and this week I treated my kids to a healthy and quick cheesecake-in-a-jar, and made baby-led weaning bolognese again (Sarah's favorite). Fred and I discovered a new fun activity, and I tried to teach Sarah baby sign language.

The family: Fred is a headstrong 3 year old toddler boy, and Sarah is my sweet 10 month old baby girl.

Fred's favorite food of the week

Fred loves to eat dessert and I fooled him with this quick and healthy cheesecake in a jar (it's sugarfree and full of healthy fats for healthy development in kids). It's smooth and easy to eat and Sarah also enjoyed it. Keep cream cheese and cream in your home for a quick dessert.

Sarah's favorite food of the week

This week I made the popular baby led weaning bolognese. Sarah devoured this bolognese. She had her portion (a big one that is) and some of her brother's as well.

It's one of my favorite ways to eat mince and even Fred tolerates it (even though he's not that crazy about mince).

Fred's activity of the week

This week we combined the classic baking soda and vinegar experiment with Fred's favorite toy - his cars. We were both very surprised and delighted that the baking soda erupted again and again as more cars were added.

Sarah's activity of the week

Sometimes I just wish little Sarah can tell me what's wrong. I tried to show her a few hand gestures to get her to tell me what she wanted but she didn't understand it. This is a great article with a few basic baby sign language gestures that I'll try with her.
