Easy, Healthy Baby & Toddler Meals, Snacks and Activities

17 July - All About Breakfast...

Hi there. It's Sumari from EasyHealthyKids.com, and this week is all about breakfast...

The family: Fred is a headstrong 2 year, 8 month old toddler boy, and Sarah is my sweet 7 month old baby girl.

This week the kids enjoyed breakfast meals. I've found that breakfast foods are the most baby friendly foods to give to a 7 month old baby.

Fred's favorite food of the week - Since starting to bake and cook with me in the kitchen, Fred loves to make and eat pancakes. This healthy Spinach Pancake recipe is ideal for babies and toddlers, both my kids gobbled them up.

It's also a great way to get spinach into your kids. They love the fun green color, it tastes just like normal pancakes.

Sarah's favorite food of the week - One of the best baby meals I've found for Sarah is simple scrambled eggs, avo and mashed sweet potato. She gets a lot of it in, and enjoys eating it too.

I came across this article that shares kid friendly ways to cook and serve eggs.

Fred's activity of the week - With Fred coming close to his 3rd birthday, I want to do more educational activities with him.

I found this fun name recognition game, and we decided to try it out.

I didn't print out his name and letters, instead I used his white board to write his name on, and then used his alphabet puzzle's blocks to match his letters.

I then told him to place his name's letters in the right order under his written name. I was very impressed that he got it right easily.

Joke of the week - Fred loves dragons and dinosaurs so this joke is very fitting.

Why do dragons sleep during the day?

So that they can fight knights.

Hahaha
